for a thousand bucks,he is kinda limited,,,i would go with the warrior

all of the farmers here use 4x4's,,,some even use those Polaris 6 wheelers

the problem im seeing with his 2 choices is,,,,he's wanting to be able to pull carts around, and do everday farm chores,,,niether of those bikes would be good for farm use at all,,,the minute you try to pull something, all of the weight will be taken off the front wheels, and its not going to be worth a hill of beans,,,,if your going to want a bike to do farm work, you will want something with a lil more weight than your 2 choices

if he's just looking for a bike that will get his pop's to the deer stand ,and back, the 4 stroke will be way better as far as being less intrusive noise wise, and you also wont have the 2-stroke oily exaust spewing out in the air,,,,so 4-stroke,much less noise, alot less exaust oder to spook game

sounds to me he wants a bike that can handle farm work, and that is simple enough for his pop's to use to get to his hunting spot

to be honost,an '88 anything is pretty old

if you have 1100 bucks, you might think about using it as a good down payment on a new bike, that hasnt been all used up

with a decent down payment, you can get your payments pretty reasonable on a Polaris magnum 4x4 that you could use for farm use,and if you have a working farm,it would be a total right off on your tax's

i think the Magnum would be just what your looking for,no gears,4 wheel drive, not a speed demon, alot of low end torque for pulling, and very dependable,,,i think my neighbor got his for $4,600
