Default SCREEN ON THE INTAKE ON THE 700

Its a screen around where the airfilter goes on. Its put there on a wild chance the the engine backfires and causes the airfilter to catch fire. It slows air flow down some. I think that yamaha has put most of this stuff on to try and cork up the beast. I know the the spark arrester is very restrictive.

I got it back on now with the 2 top holes opened. I can tell you it was a pain geting all the little wires off. I will leave it like this for a while and if and when I put a pipe on it I will change the intake as well. With all the change I have done I can tell it needs remaped .

Did it make any difference SuperSuzuki? More mid, low or top?

I'm more partial to the K&N setup than the GYTR setup.

Ok, I'll buy that, your point is made, I agree, but I'm still partial to K&N for no particular reason.

I bought what was available at the time, or it would probably be a pro-flow and a K&N

That's probably what I would have done also, but I'm trying to hold off for the K&N to come out, or atleast till I can cough up the dough, I'm sure it's already out.
