Default 660 vs. 450

how would a raptor 660 with a full pipe, k&n, stage 2 hot cam, and dyna ignition do against a piped 450?

It would come down to the rider IMO. I've seen it go both ways

ok thats what i figured, i'm just not sure what bike i want to get out a lot, i want something fast but id rather buy something cheaper (660, Z) and mod it to be as fast as the 450's.

Yeah unless your gonna race mx I wouldn't buy the 450. good bike but expensive as hell... raptors and Z's have reverse also if that helps.

yeah and so does the pred, i dont think the z would be fast enough for me with just bolt ons but a 440 kit is cheap. predators im not so sure about people on here say theyre competitive with the raptor but all of them ive seen were slow. and the raptors i like and have rode a lot but theyre a little tippy.

Once you get used to the raptor its not "tippy".. I hear that predators are good, great suspension.. it all depends on what your gonna do with it. and which one fits you best. Just do a lot of research on them, thats what I did and I am very happy with my choice.

my dad had a raptor that i used to ride a lot and my brother in-law has a z-400 which ive also rode a lot and the raptor is tippy compared to that but i liked the raptors power better.

I dragged my wifes predator against my brother on his 660 raptor and the pred easily outran it everytime. Started from dead stop , rolling start , 3rd gear start etc. etc. , we ran them about 6 or 7 times and even traded riders and everytime the predator wasted it. The only mod on the pred is a clamp on filter clamped to the carb ($15 mod) and the raptor was bone stock.
