Using a Jack on Grizzly, where to place??
#1
Hello:
Just wondering when using a jack to elevate my Grizzly, where I want to place the jack underneath the machine as to not cause damage? Is the plastic skid plate strong enough?
Thanks,

The stock skids are strong enough to use a jack under but I highly recommend getting aftermerket skids as soon as possible. As for as where to put the jack I would say not to use the underside of the floor boards and try to stay where the skid plating is present, mostly under the center. It also depends weather you need to access a drain plug on not.

I use a jack on mine all the time to change tires. Just place the jack near the edge in the middle. Look where the frame is above the skid plate. The skid plate will push up to meet the frame and it doesn't break. In the winter, the 2x4 may be a good idea. I don't know how flexible the plastic will be in the cold. I will buy the aluminum skid plates as soon as funds become available.
