Default Dyno Test

I took my quad down to Miami, Florida at Adam’s Car Shop for a dyno test. They had a dyno set up also for motorcycles. It had a TRC Yoshimura Titanium Exhaust Full System, K&N with no lid, Dyno Jets, PWR Radiator, T-Moly chains and sprocket, Vortex Ignition, Hinson Clutch, Edelbreck Carburetor, Alba high compression piston, Motorex Semi Synthetic Oil, and a high octane race fuel (for hp). It also had low gearing. The quad was tested on a full tank of gas, and a warm engine. The first test it topped off at 81.65 miles per hour. The second test it topped off at 82.03 miles per hour. The third test it topped off at 81.73 miles per hour. I just thought I would let you guys in on what’s happening.

it also helped having low gearing for top speed measurements

How can you have 3 exact speed measurements and then "about 50" for HP? If you don't know the HP #'s then I doubt it was on a dyno at all. Post the graphs for all to see..........sniff sniff.

i dont have the dyno graphs with me, but when i put up the speeds, i Called adam's Car Shop and he told me the speeds. I didn't bother asking him abuot the hp, but I knew it was around 50 hp. Call Adam's Car Shop at (786)-544-3281, and ask for John Mayers Dyno Testing Graphs at the motorcycle section because I also got my car dynoed at the car section.

IMO Dyno speeds are basically worthless. There is no wind resistance and no weight.

how the hell did you get yours at only 81 with all that stuff on your bike?!My 660 was clocked at 85 beside a sv 650 with the stuff it has on it now....and i would think that yfz would tear my bike in half...

it was only around there because with all that stuff on, it mostly only raised hp, not top speed. the hp i gained helped me reach my top speed at a quicker rate. the biggest factor that helped me raised my top speed was the change from high gear to low gear. plus, a raptor would have a higher top speed than a yfz450 to start off with. And Air, there was weight, me, but your right, no wind resistance.
