the power band kicks in around 4500rpms all the way into 8500rpms.

hyper, you must not know how to ride or what you are riding because i am dam sure the blaster has a powerband and the reason it has fins is because itis aircooled and that would have nothing to do with a powerband

learn a thing or two about motors before speaking again <edit>

You guys know nothing about power bands. I just went to my local Yamaha dealer who for $200 sold me some of that there "powerband in the can". Poured it in the tank and he said I will get 25HP more [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]


This reminds me of that thread from maybe a year ago where some guy was looking to buy an aftermarket powerband. The responses he got were classic!!!


Seriously though, my last Blaster had a Toomey pipe. What a difference in P-band from the stocker. The stocker basically pulled pretty even in my opinion. The Toomey was a DOG at low RPM, but as soon as you hit the band, HANG ON!!!
