Default Any problems with 03 grizzly?

My dad is looking at an 03 660 grizz for 3500. It is in good shape. Just wondering if there is anything he should watch out for.. like tranny probelms or carb problems or anything like that like on the 01's. thx.

I have been on this forum for a little while now and everything that is said about the 03'Grizzly is the weak axles they have. I have a friend with an 03' and he has replaced them 3 or 4 time already. I have been told that in that year they used a less than top quality steel for the parts in the differentials and they need to be replaced with aftermarket parts when they go. The problem was fixed in 04' and my 05' has not had this problem.

That is correct, the only issue I have ever heard of that stands out over all the other model years is the CV joint issues of the '03 model. The '02 didn't have this problem, it was only the '03. It was corrected in '04 and beyond...
