Default Radiator cap??

On my z, lately when ive been riding, i have found out that there is a little bit of coolant coming out of the top of the radiator where the cap is. isnt there a spring under the cap or something to keep it from leaking? I was riding and it went all over the motor and my heat shield. Has this happened to ne one what should I do?

Just about every atv radiator cap is an overflow cap meaning it will release coolant/pressure when it gets too high. Its possible that the cap is loose and is leaking, that the cap has been damaged and is stuck open, or that you have too much pressure and its releasing.

Default Radiator cap??

Okay, I think that there was a ton of pressure in there becuse when I took it off, it popped and spit out a little coolant, just a few drops. But how would I all of a sudden just have too much pressure?
