It's easy to install.

Remove plastic, tank and valve cover. Take out old cam, replace desompresion system, line up marks, put back in. Replace valve cover. Adjust rockers. Put tank and plastic back on.

The only thing that people screw up is:

1. Intalling the decompresion system 180 out.
2. Installing the chain tensioner wrong which breaks the chain.

If you do a stage 2 cam, you have to change the valve springs. This will require removal of the head.

If you do a stage 1, you don't have to change the springs.

Stage 1 will give a noticable mid range power increase.

By the way, I have a stage 1 Hot Cam used for one year in mint condition that I am going to put on Ebay.

Robs a little bit of low end. Adds power in the mid and upper where it counts.. You need fancy springs or the valves will float.
