Default New 05 Kodiak 450

I picked up my new 05 Kodiak 450 today for $5340 with winch. I put pics up in my gallery.

Question: What are the H and M buttons for? I looked in the manual and all I found out was that they were indeed the H and M buttons.

Some things comparing it to my 03 SP500 I had.

4wd:My SP500 drove fairly easily in 4wd but the Kodiak in locked 4wd is almost impossible to steer. But in limited slip 4wd it handles about like my sportsman.[

Handeling:The SP handled better but I think it might be because of the sucky tires on the Kodiak.

Tires: The sportman had nice tires on it that dug. The Kodiak doesn't...these tires might make it till X-mas...might.

Build:My SP500 rattled a little and the back breaks squeaked like there was no tomorrow. The Kodiak seems solid so far.

The Kodiak is harder to steer when locked because all 4 tires get power. The Polaris had light steering even in AWD because the front tires dont get power untill the back tires lose traction.
As for the H and M buttons, Im stumped on that one. I know they have the 4x4/4x2 button and the LOCK button, but Ive never seen the M and H buttons....

Cool. Makes sense about the 4wd.

But the H & M buttons are on the are on the display pod opposite the hour/time and trip/odometer buttons. The drive buttons are on the right handle bar.
