Gosh I really get annoyed with the bull$hit forbidden words in this place.

Sorry fellas, go to ds650 {dot} net. Go to the mikuni vs dyno jet section. There is a great chart there that compares sizes. When I was jetting my ds, it required a 175 mikuni main jet, or a 190 dynojet main jet. These 2 jets flow exactly the same.

Like I said, every chart I've seen has been like that one, and is wrong. I've yet to see one that correctly displays the fact that a DJ outflows a mikuni of the same number. Why else do you think that a stage 2 dynojet kit comes with 136-150 main jets when the stock Mikunis are 140/145? According to that chart just about every jet DJ makes for the raptor is smaller than stock.

The only jet kit offered by DJ is the stage 2 for the raptor. Why would DJ send you 7 main jets that are smaller than anything in the bike, and one main halfway between the stock mikuni jets? Seems like they wouldnt sell very many of those to me, especially since the kit is for bikes with modified intakes and aftermarket filters.

There are 3 types of mikuni mains, small round, large round, and hex. But I believe they all flow the same, just different design forms.

My point is, do you think it is normal going 5 sizes bigger in main jetting, just with a k+n, and slip on? Ds comes with a 165 mikuni mj. Most ds owners with the same mods use a 175 mikuni mj. 2 sizes bigger. If a ds owner uses a dynojet kit {like I did} we use a 190 dj-mj. I'm not trying to bust *****, but what proof do you have, other than your word, that what you say is true? How about a chart showing other wise. Where are the people who have used the mikuni vs dyno jet chart who are having problems? When I jetted my ds 165mikuni to a 175 dj, my bike ran leaner than with the 165 mikuni. I went to a 190 dj main jet. If I had put a 190 mikuni jet in, it would have been way too rich.
