If you are looking at track time, I think the 450 class is your better bet. The Zuk will have features over anything else, and will likely need less $$ to be set up for mx than the others also. On the downside, if it comes out at 52" wide it will be a handful on tight woods trails/xc. It will also carry a premium price tag for all those goodies(wider, better suspension,efi,etc...) It might be worth waiting a few more months for reviews of both Honda's and Yammies 450 upgrades. Looks to be a tighter competition in stock form than ever before between these two. Last, if the Zuk is head and shoulders above everyone else and sells well for a bit, there will be deals to be had on the other two.

i forgot about the ground clearance Capn, thanx for mentioning it
i'm going to get a sport quad in the spring for something i can get squirlly on(i'm keeping the Grizz),and was leaning heavy towards the 700 rappy, and then i started reading about the Outlaw, the 4 wheel independant suspension is going to probably shift me towards it,and away from the rappy, all we do is trail riding, and hill climbing around here,so the suspension of the Outlaw would definatly be kinder to my 42 year old Carpenters back by the end of the day
the weight of the machine plays very little into the decision,as i do not race,or do alot of jumping,,,,,i would like a bike that could yank wheelies with ease, and something with gears to shift

Look at the specs of the new 2006 Suzuki RM-Z450 dirtbike. I think that might be the new engine for the new Z quad. It's very close to the YFZ 450, but it has a four valve compared to the YFZ's five valve. It's a four speed. Here's the link

wow it sounds like these quads sounds preatty close between the YFZ , 450R, suzuki's 450, outlaw, and maybe the raptor it would be a good shoot out but each one has somethine else to offer and it seems like its going to come down to the rider and preference like usual thanks for you input would like to hear some more of your opinions so keep going.

since i havent even heard anythigng official about a new 450 suzuki its still a first year machine and so is the raptor 700 and the yfz450 is been proven and loved so go with that or a predator

i considered the YFZ 450,but finally had crossed it out (for me),im sure its a great bike, but for my personal aplication, and type of trails we ride on,it would be a real drag with no reverse, and i have no ambitions of racing
i had pretty much decided on the 700 raptor, until i read a couple of articals on the outlaw, and now i'm torn between it,and the Polaris Outlaw,,,,the more i read about the Outlaw, the more impressed i am with it,and am leaning towards it,,,,i have until Spring time to make a final decision
