Alright right now i'm 17 years old and had a blaster for about 4 years and im a very skilled rider and i need a bigger one and i can't decide on the YZF450 or Raptor 700R and I ride everywhere mostly trails, or tracks sometimes dunes oh and you can throw in some other quads if you like for example the honda 450, preditor, Z400 what ever you like i'm lookin for every ones opinion

 

i would diffinatly go w/ the YFZ450. Its great for all types of riding. I dont know how good the raptor is though b/c i've never riden the 700.

 

If you plan to race and trail ride, Id go with the YFZ. If you plan to just trail ride, the Rappy might be a better choice.

Wait untill Suzuki announces their new 450 and decide then.It should be early next month.

I agree with this also.. If you are wanting the 450 class machine, at least wait until you see what Suzuki has to offer since it wont be to long of a wait... Then make your decision...

 

What makes you all think it will be better than the YFZ? Its been a long time since Suzuki won a MX race with one of their 4-strokes.

Nobody said it would or would not be better... But dont you like to look at all options before making decisions.. ? Wouldn't it be better to wait a couple of weeks or so instead of saying " I wish I would have waited "...
Besides.. what makes you think it won't be better... ??? They have had plenty of R&D time, how long has the YFZ been out..?

 

Are you guys' sure she/he doesn't mean the YZF 450 dirtbike? Just wondering because of the title and what she/he wrote.

 

If I was as Brand minded as some on this site I would still be riding a Honda and we all know how much they have improved over the years.

I never said buy just wait a few weeks and see.

When was the last time yamaha won a pro championship in motocross.
