I have the same problem on an 87 warrior. I have checked all resistance from factory service manual. Everything looks good. It ran great till I washed it a couple weeks ago.
Is there any way to check the CDI box without buying a new one?

Well, I finally broke down and bought a new CDI box. Thinking that that was definitely the problem. It still doesn't start. It does have a very weak spark with a brand new plug grounded to the side of the engine case. But, It is not enough spark to start it. The battery is fully charged and I have ohmed out everything per the service manual. The spark plug almost seems like it fires too many times. I am not sure because it is very faint. I do also have a new coil on it.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Disconnect the hot wire from the ignition coil and unplug the CDI. With a DMM on ohms or audible continuity check that wire for continuity to ground. If you get a resistance reading or an audible tone you found the problem.
