Default What If

Has anybody ever thought about taking a motor from a sxvenom sled and putting it in a quad 2 stroke, 3 cylinders, 600cc. I wish I could. think of what the power band would be like. Now Im just daydreaming, but it would be cool, if it could be done.

Its been done with much more powerful sled engines than that.

I wouldn't mind putting one of polaris's sled motors in.......their 700 would be nice......but that new 440 of theirs would also be pretty kick azz........

I've seen a quad that raced on ice with a harley motor in it.......didn't see it up close......but man was it loud......and it had tons of torque from watching......I think it was a yfz too......

Thats been done numerous times and topped as well with fzr1000's, R1's, CBR's, and Busas among others. A friend of mine has a CBR 600 blaster and a friend of my cousin has a Ninja 600 in his 300ex.

I've seen a zuki lt230 with an engine from a pro top fuel drag motorcycle in it, now that was impressive.

I just think it would be cool to have a 2 stroke that is that big, I mean think of the powerband. Then start modifying it I think it would be just a little more unique than a big 4 stroke.

And also be useless for anything but straight line racing and only for short periods of time until it needs to cool down. Have you ever seen either? I'm curious becuse they are rather common around my neck of the woods, both types. An atv with a street bike engine in it can be ridden all day long on pump gas with more power than any production fourstroke atv and faster than most modified machines for a fraction of the price. It all depends on what you want out of it, just like every other atv decision.

I don't plan on trying this, too expensive. Just wanted to see if it had been done before. I still think it would be cool
