Default Tie-rod end replacement...PLEASE HELP!!

Hi, I was wondering how to replace my outer tie-rod end. I bent it slightly so I ordered up a new one and took the nut, washer and cotter pin off the old one. Now here's the million dollar question..how do I go about taking out the bent one, cause it looks like it's pressed in. Can I just pop it with a plastic mallet or what?? I'm not too worried if I mess up some of the threads on the old one cause its bent, but whatever tips you guys got are appreciated. Also once I get the old one out, what's the best way to get the new one back in?? Thanks for any help you guys can give me. Can't wait to be back roostin again...watch out for those trees, they bite hard.

Default Tie-rod end replacement...PLEASE HELP!!

If your talking about where the tierod end goes into the steering knuckle it should tap right out or push
right out easily.

Remove splitpin then undo nut a couple of turns then with a hammer hit the side of the knuckle once or twice on the side where the tie rod fits in, and the tie rod should pop out then remove nut and change tie rod. They are on a taper and sometimes can be difficult to remove.

just hit that **** with a hammer and it will pop right out. They get wedged in because the bottom part of the stud that gets stuck is a cone shape and gets pressed in when the nut is tightened.
