warrior/wolvy/rap350 definatly dont have any chrome cylinders. I had a sled that was nikasyl coated and couldnt be bored it had to be re-sleeved so there aren instantces where engines cant be bored but thats definatly not one of them. I went with a higher compression wiseco piston and a white brothers high lift cam in my wolverine and it made a big difference. The cam really lets your engine rev out smoother and longer. boring doesnt make a difference unless you do a big bore kit wich is real expensive and not needed on such a new bike. I rode on stock bore from 2001 to 2004 and when i needed a freshened top end I went for the piston/cam. I dont get nearly as many hours on my baby now that im a bit older and in college as opposed to highschool so imagine this will last be for a whiile. by the time this wears out, which shouldnt be for a while, then im going to go with the FST big bore maybe the 446 kit.

The good oil coolers do not come in a kit, you need to buy a oil filter adapter and plate from a yamaha big bear or kodiak 350, and get some kind of oil cooler for a motorcycle or car. I used a tranny cooler for a small car, but you might need something smaller to fit under the rappy's hood. You can get an oil cooler kit for around $65 bucks from a couple places, but they're not worth a $hit, they have a very small cooler, and you have to take off your clutch cover and drill and tap holes in it. If you go to the site yfm350central.com and sign up for a free membership there is a good tutorial there about how to do everything. When I did my oil cooler I spent about $100 and it made a noticable difference on hot days, and hard riding, when the transmission would normally start acting up. I would put the cooler on before I started doing motor mods. You wouldn't necessarily have to put the cooler in for a stage 1 hotcam, but the yfm350 motor can overheat in stock form under certain conditions, and it woud be even more likely to happen with performance mods.

if your looking for more power out of you raptor350, my advice would be change the cam, and have a pro do a port/polish on your head. and you'll definatley notice a increase in power. My opinion is your first engine upgrade needs to be a port and polish.

yes, porting and polishing any atv will give you quite a power gain.

a ported head is hands down teh best mod you can do for your motor, as long as its done right.
