Default Fuel Leak

Question for you guys...

I have a 2000 Grizzly, orginal owner been very happy with the bike.

I go to fill it up with gas today and gas is streaming out of a tube that appears to come from the bottom of the carburator...?
I thought maybe I just overfilled the tank but the gas keeps coming and coming. If I turn the fuel switch to 'off' then the leak
eventually stops.

I verified the hose from the fuel on/off switch hooks into the carburator, and that looks ok. Seems like the hose that
fuel is coming out of should hook into something but I can't see where it does. Anyway, send me some ideas of you can.

Thanks.

Default Fuel Leak

your float valve is stuck

in the short run, try tapping the bowl with a screwdriver handle

otherwise, pull the carb, remove the bowl and inspet the needle valve connected to the float (blow ome compressed air thru it)

it may be worn out, sticky or have a grain of sand in it

the tube coming off the bottom is the overflow tube,,,,,it just drains to the ground,,,,doesn't go anywhere

I tried tapping the carb, no luck.

I'll remove the carb next and check the float valve...

I appreciate the help, I bet yer right about the float valve.
