Default What are the symptoms of a bad CDI

I have a warrior that just hasnt run right lately, It spits and sputters after 1/2 throttle(its not the parking break I already have that blocked off) It will run but has no power or torque at all. So I was wondering what could this be. I was thinking I may have a bad CDI.

I had a bad cdi on my warrior but it would not start at all.[no spark] You may want to pull your carb and give it a good cleaning because it don't take much to screw them up,also check your plug.

i would think if your cdi is shot, you wouldn't have any spark.

Seeing how the cdi has no way of knowing throttle position....its sounds like a dirty carb to me. Look over the main jet good, it may be partially pluged.
