Default Aftermarket axle nut

So, I have a new to me 2002 Raptor 660. First time I took it out the axle nut came loose. It has some sort of aftermarket axle. The guy Bought it from wasn't sure but thought it might be a durablue 2+2. It has 2 settings one for plus 2 and another collar that slides out for +4.

The axle nut if different from anything else I have ever seen (warrior, polaris TB250, and old honda 200x) everything I have ever dealt with has 2 nuts. This one is wide(1.5"?) with a set screw and notch in the middle. The nut has cracked right at the set screw. To replace it do I need to replace it with a the same nut or should most of the threads on aftermarket axles be the same as stock. Hard to figure out what axle it is. The Dura blue is the only adjustable width axle I have found. Trying to get it ready for Glamis next weekend, any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

Sounds like a dura-blue nut, all these after-market axles seem to have some magic fancy nut design which are mostly a one-time use, there will likely not be much left of it after you finally get it off, all their dual collars, set screws, ring clips, and the inability to use any common tools on it make it a piece of work to say the least. On top of it, new nut set-ups will run $40 to $50 and no, stock nuts won't fit.
I finally just slung the whole set-up I had and went back to a stock axle with a regular ole' double nut set-up, it's simple and it works just fine.

I've had my axle off and on at least 2 dozen times and the original durablue axle nut is still in excellent shape and works fine every time. You'd need to get a new nut from durablue or whoever the axle maker was.

yea I think it is a durablue axle, probably one of there 2+2 with the old nut. There is a DB engraved between the bearings, hopefully thats what it means. The service there was top notch, ordered 2 different nuts, said they would put a note on my account not to charge restocking fee for the one that doesn't work. Said the spline size never has changed so either should work but they are to arrive 1 day before we leave for glammis. THanks for the help.
