Default warrior a arm bushings

I was wondering if i should just replace the bushings or if I should get a kit that has the collars and bushings. The reason I'm asking is because I can get the bushings off e-bay for like 20 bucks but if I get the kit it's going to cost me like 50 or so. I really don't know what that collar pin does and I really don't see how it could go bad.
Thanks folks,
any info would be nice.

I have always just changed the bushings. The bushings would probably have to be worn down to nothing to damage the collars.

Go ahead and waste you're money if you want to.Contact the dealership and ask them what they normally change. If you want to do it right the first time, you may as well buy the needle bearing kits that replace those old crappy plastic bushings.
