Don't rule out the LT80 as a strong contender

Default raptor700 vs banshee

I raced one last weekend in Glamis and LOST! I got him off the line, but 3/4 the way up Oldsmobile hill(large sand dune in Glamis) he walked on me.

My bike has intake with no lid, and the muffler has been cut off with straight pipe welded in place.....that puts me at a disadvantage with not enough back pressure......possibly too lean as well. I called Trinity and it will be 2 weeks till their header, exhaust and programmer are out. Im gonna get all of that, tune it, and whoop some 350 Banshees!

The Banshee I dragged is ported, bored, pipes, 34 mm carbs with clamp on filters and Pro design intake manifolds.

Better luck next time.

My MX port stock bore/stroke Banshee with Paul Turner pipes and stock carbs gave 2 Raptor 700's fits two weekends ago at Little Sahara, Oklahoma. I could pull them out of the hole easily and kept about a 4 bike lead on them. They both had Pipe's (One Yoshi, One HMF). Never asked them about Programmer's or any other mods they might have had. I was just glad mine didn't come with a $7000 price tag, I would have been sick!

In flat drags and uphill drags
Stock to stock the Raptor will beat the Banshee. Do pipes airfilters on each and if the 700R has an EFI controller and a guy that can ride it it will take the Banshee by a quad length. Do more to the Banshee and it's all over, you can go way faster/quicker for less money with the shee. I witnessed a 120HP plus shee running this past weekend and it was a site to behold

120 hp shee is hell on earth,it still amazing how that little engine
do produce power with so short crank after all those years and the
stock carbs and exhaust are fully restrictivethe most detuned quad on earth with the less moey invested,it become WAY better, hope the
folks will learn.
