Default I need help

I need to do some minor adjustments to my carbs. When I first hit the throttle the bike hesitates some and then it just takes off really fast. What should I change to get rid of this hesitation. Then I also have another problem, that I noticed the other day. When I went out and ran the bike really hard my header pipes turned red hot, they were glowing. Is this normal or should I rejet. I think my jetting is fine, though because it rips on the top end.

ok, sounds like your jetting is a bit lean, and the start hesitation will probabily be with your pilot jetting being a bit off... try upping the main and pilot jets one size and let us know if its any better... as for the glowing head pipe, being as i have a yfz, its considered normal for me, but for a rappy, im thinkin your a bit lean, but i havent had much experience with a 686... is there any thing else I can do for the pilots, because they are already a 27.5 and i don't think they go any bigger. I hope the mains don't need to go any bigger than 1 size bc I already have a 190 and 195 in there and they only go to 200. is running just a little on the lean side going to hurt anything. Thanks.
