Grizzly Jetting?

Grizzly Jetting?
So, I am planning to purchase either a new 2006 King Quad, or a new 2006 Grizzly in a couple of months. One major advantage to the KQ in this case is the fact that it has EFI. I will be riding whichever machine I choose in a wide array of elevations. It could be anywhere from near sea level to as high as 7,000 - 8,000 feet above sea level. The EFI on the KQ should be able to adjust well, with nothing to have to adjust on my part. My question is that I know rejetting will need to take place with the Grizz's carb though. How much of a pain will this probably be? Thanks for any light anyone would like to shed.

It depends on how much of your time you plan on staying at alt.
If its occasional, then your best bet might be to just cut holes in the air box lid, and keep them covered at lower elevations, and remove the tape as the motor richens up, when you gain alt. Eventually at very high alts, you can just remove the lid. When you come back down, then just retape the holes at the motor leans out.
If you plan on alot of riding at higher altitudes, then have it jetted for that.
Usually its much safer on the motor, to jet for the lowest alts youll encounter. That way itll never be too lean, which can be very bad,..but at altitude it may be too rich, and the only bad thing about being too rich is its wastefull...but not harmful.
If youre really gonna be doing alot of low and high alt driving...the efi might be your best choice.
