Mine was stock at Beverly before the Florence ride and I thought the plug was just alittle lean, but real close to being perfect.

Now as far as being impressed, the power is totally corked up, still needs pipe, controller and filter to be a runner. I was impressed with the way it handled over the 660R, but engine wise, it's needs a cam and a swingarm for the dunes.

 

Hey me and the rest of the blacksheep were down at St Joe last weekend doing a little dragracing and there was a YFZ450 there and he said he was just { Pipe and Jetted } but you know how that goes anyway the SOB was bad and iv seen the new 700 witch is quik to but that YFZ was fast soooooo for the money i would go YFZ450

 

Sounds like you want a multi purpose bike? The Raptor is a multi purpose bike. The YFZ is a racebike, and yes people will tell you they use it for everything but the power is not as trail friendly. For the same price you get a EFI and reverse, you'll here people say they don't need it on there quad. Ask your newest Pro GNCC rider (Smiley) about reverse on his Predator and how he can back up away from a tree instead of pushing it. He would never take it away. The Suzuki is not out yet and unproven, and the Honda is a decent bike very reliable and has electric start as an option, and does trails better the the YFZ because the power is not as harsh.
I think if you can wait a year you will see some new bikes with more EFI coming.
