I bought a used "98" Wolverine. The brake light doesnt work. Looking at it their used to be a spring or cable that ran from the brake pedal to a switch behind the right back finder. It is missing. The dealer told me it was a sping that I would have to pay $28 dallors for because I would have yo buy the switch also. I dont no why they would use a spring. Looks like a small rod would work better. Could you guys help me ? Is it a spring or rod ? Do the new Wolverine's have a brake light? I looked at one at the dealership and it didnt have one. Mine is mounted on the rack.

98' Wolverine doesn't have a break light. The bulb is a single element and is only a tail light mounted to the storage box. Anything different is a modification done by a previous owner. In my opinion, Yyamaha should make this standard equipment.

I have a 2001 Wolverine and it didn't come with a brake light, just a tail light

Yamaha sells it as an add-on kit for those states that require brake lights

WOW, didnt relize it was a add on. Looks like factory. Frame for light is welded right to back rack. Looks great. I agree, YAMAHA should make this a factory feature.
