Default Blaster stuck in gear.

I am helping out a buddy with his blaster he just got. I put a new clutch cable on it, when i did, i pulled the thing out of the motor that the cable pulls. I put it back in, but now the clutch doesnt do anything. It pulls like it should, but the part going into the gearcase doesnt seem to do anything, just moves, doesnt do what its supposed to. Now I cant get it out of gear either, even without the clutch. Any thoughts?

Default Blaster stuck in gear.

Still not having much luck. I had also put an oil injection block off on it. I pulled the case cover back off and it shifted fine then. I put it back together and wouldnt work again, now i have it back apart, and its still not working. I am trying to pull the clutch off now to see the shift fork behind it. Maybe its bent or something.....

Please offer any advice you have.

You cant really see much, a bunch of gears, and the clutch basket. The fork is tucked behind. What would you look for?

Sounds like the clip came off. it shouldnt just pull out the case. When you put it back it in you have to have it alinged right or you wont get the proper pull to disengauge the clutch

I would agree, if it feels like it is pulling, but doesn't do anything, than the obvious part is that it really isn't engaging the clutch and it shouldn't have just pulled out.

There is a torsion spring that attaches to the lever that is pulled by the clutch cable, this needs to be aligned right in order for the clutch to work....

check out the schematic here and you'll see what i mean:

blaster clutch
