Default Installed my piston and cam, Now Rappy is Possessed!

I got it all done. Tried to start it, was turning over, wasn't firing so I turn the key off. To my amazement it keeps turning over and over and over. I pull the kill switch try everything it won't shut off. Finally, I hurry and disconnected the battery. I wait and reconnect and it isn't doing it. Now it won't even try to start, the oil temp light comes on and thats it. Please help me I get it all done and this is my reward.

All I can say is check all of your connections. Make sure there is no pinched wires. Make sure the main ground from the battery is secure and not reversed. Check the fuseable links.

Good luck!

How in the world could it stay running after key is turned off. Gonna check fuses and stuff.

I was thinking maybe a pinch in a harness causing a short. I have never heard of this before. So, I would just follow the wire harness on the upper frame all the way to the handle bars and look for pinches. If there was a pinch, it could blow the fusable link, that's why it is not working now.

I don't know what else it could be.

Are the only fuses on the Rappy the ones by the battery?

I think there are some in-line jobbys along the upper frame on the left side of the bike where all the wiring is run. Mine have never blown, but I swear I saw some there.

I checked the 2 by the battery. GOOD. I did see where the wire that connects to the key switch looked like it was kinked. But don't know why it won't do nothing now. I see the wires run along the left frame, will check there for fuses. Upsetting to get motor together and can't even see if it runs right. I hate electrical crap lol.

I hear ya. I have had mine tore down a few times.

I was just thinking. It could be a stuck/bad starter solonoid too. Try unhooking the wires and touching the hot wire to the starter wire. See if it cranks. Also try applying power to the terminal on the soloniod to see if it properly switches the hotwire to the starter wire.

If electrical stuff isn't your specialty and your quad has an electrical problem, I'd recommend taking it to someone that can troubleshoot it properly. Your Raptor already has a problem, you don't want to make it worse. Just a suggestion.
