Default Boots

I'm going to buy some boots here pretty soon and I had a couple questions. Any advise on what I should get? I want something that is comfortable and fairly light. I'm trying to stay in the $100-$200 range. I kinda have it narrowed down to Alpinestar Tech 4's (maybe even 6's), Thor Quadrants, and Fox Trackers. I dont want a biased opinion. I know Alpinestars makes really nice boots but tech 10's well set you back about $450. I dont need that. Plus when I looked at them today they seemed heavier than the others. I have no idea why or if they really were heavier at all. I dont race. I just want a good boot that will give me some protection and comfort. I do ride pretty aggressive. By the way, does anyone know the difference between the Thor Quadrand Boots and the Thor Quadrant ATV version boots? Are they really that different or is it just that the sole is a different tread thats better suited for walking and for ATV pegs? Thanks...

whats the difference? like, how different are they besides the price? lol, is it quality, material, design? What makes the tech 10's so much better than tech 4's?

I have the Alpinestar Tech 4's and the have the ATV sole and are a nice boot. Not sure if they still make them though. I would go with the Thor ATV version as the sole is the rugged sole, just my recommendation

I think the only difference between the Quadrant and Quadrant ATV boot is the sole.

The Tech 6 is a tight boot. That would be my choice. Having an ATV lugged sole would be nice too.

my uncle has tech 8's and i tried those on today. They have a little inner bootie that is really comfortable. you put that on then slip them in the boot. I like that but i dont know if it will be worth my money... or if i want to spend that much. How much difference is the ATV sole going to make? Is that made to fit the ATV pegs or something?

No, the ATV sole just gives better traction and is easier to walk with in slippery or off camber terrain.
