Default SOHC and DOHC

For racers, does having either a SOHC or DOHC matter? Is the YFZ450's DOHC an advantage over the 700R's SOHC? Also, I am almost 5'10' and weighing at about 195lbs. Is the YFZ450 too small for me?

You know if you use the search button at the top you might be able to find what you are looking for without starting a new thread that has already been talked about. Here you go. Try it next time.SOHC vs DOHC

No its not too small for you. I'm 6 foot same weight and I feel pretty good on a YFZ.. I prefer my raptor though its more confrotable in terms of how the seat is and the bars and so on.

How big do you have to be in order for the YFZ450 to be too small for you at least? 6'1' 225lbs?

I really don't get the concept of being too big for a quad unless you weight a crap load over the max limit on it. It all depends how you feel on it. Don't worry even if you do reach 6'6" you will still be find for it.

I don't know, but can you change the SOHC Raptor 700R to a DOHC 700R like the YFZ450?

Sure, just redesign and fab up a new head, new camshafts, and redesign an ECU.
