Default B to Yamahammer defection.

I have a Bombardier, and I'm not proud of it.

The money I payed for it (used) was astronomical and everyone said 'What a GREAT quad it is!'. I have not owned it for a year, the parts and money bill keep sky rocketing. List of new parts for one Quest 650 XT?

1. Computer (500 bux)
2. Ignition coil (60 bux)
3. Ignition pickup coil (would have been 500 dollars, but i found a way around it 100 bux)
4. Intake manifold (45 dollars)
5. Carbuerator vibration mount (5 dollars).
6. Battery (40 bux)
7. New Tranny belt (50 bux)

The list continues to rise. As long as I have owned it, it has stayed broken down most of this time. It has loads of power, but that doesn't have anything to do with Bombardier. So, now that I'm fairly resolute in the belief that Bombardier is crap, I've decided to research the only ATV manufacturer that I know of that is pretty bullet proof. Of course, Yamaha.

I used to ride a Warrior a lot. But thats been years ago. My friend, who has a rappy, feels my pain and suggests a Warrior (because he is who i used to ride with). Now that I've had a 4 wheel drive and noticed its capabilities on the worst hills and handling in the corners I've decided I want to stick with 4 wheel drive (or at least selectable). So, then he suggests the Wolverine. Have you seen the 06? Its hideous! It now boasts a 450 (yippee.... read in sarcasm). Its based on a utility chassis.

So, my first question then becomes, "Which is faster?"

1. Wolverine
2. Warrior
3. Quest 650 XT

Don't give me the 'What type of riding' scenario again. Overall. Which is faster? The Quest 650 weighs in at a phenominal 850 lbs. Still, it will gladly spin all 4 tires on gravel or dirt or send the wheels climbing for the sky. It can maintain a speed of 60 mph. What can the Slowverine or Warrior do? I vaguely remember something about the warrior and a 66 mph top speed. But, I can't remember.

Next Q.

Does the suspension of the Wolverine approach the capability of the warrior? I can jump my Quest 650 comfortably about 2 feet in the air. Anything more and it feels like your trying to land a Sherman tank. I have no desire to do 'daredevil leaps' but would like to have something a little adventurous.

Or is the rappy the real answer? Personally, I rode his rappy. Is it me, or does it feel like during those long drifts around corners your bored? Its like, that whole time your a** is hanging on the corner with dirt and mud flying everywhere you could be getting more G's out of something scrambling with more traction? Go real fast, slow way down, drift forever, line up, go real fast, slow way down...... 4x4's with power it really doesn't seem like that. Sure, on the straightaways you would blow the doors off, but who does straight aways on trails? Still, if I can outperform a Wolverine on a variety of different trail settings I'd gladly go back to one. Or maybe a Rappy.

I guess I'd just like to hear from peeps that have actually RODE a wolverine, warrior, AND raptor. Thanks for your time.

if you want a nice "sport quad" with 4x4 (i think they call it a sport utility, but its closer to a sport than a utility),,,go with the 500 Scrambler,,,a sweet bike

i'm getting one myself this spring, for something a lil more sporty,,,still keeping the Grizz for deep mud hole play, and snow

I like my warrior while its not the fastest quad,I have no problem staying glued to my buddies bumpers when trail riding. While all are faster if racing straight stretches when doing anything technical I usually have to slow down to keep from running one over. I have never rode a wolverine but from post ive read if you want a sporty 4X4 its a great quad. Seems most all the guys that have them love them ive even considered getting one my self when i thought i wanted a 4X4. The warrior id say would be faster than a wolvy since its the same engine and im sure the wolvy is heavier. Dont know anything about a quest 650 but sounds like you have made your own mind up on it. Oh the quads i ride with so you can compare are a another warrior, 2 400ex's, a Predator, and a KFX 700.

Are you sure the Scrambler will outperform the new Wolverine? New one is a 450. Why do that have to put the damn belt drive autos on just about everything these days? Me and buddy was talking about it. Its actually a great move for the manufacturer. Cheaper, lighter, more reliable, easier to service. Just SO boring.
