i have a question about the length of the ramps. i tryed the search but no luck. i was wondering if any of you have tryed the 6' ft ramps with taller 4x4 trucks(97 Z71 33"s) im looking at the tri fold, i just don't want to get the 7'ft ramps if i don't have to. any info would help

Does the truck have a lift on it? How do you get your atv in it currently?

 

I have folding ramps for my 4x4 truck. I think they are 7 ft long and it isn't too steep to put the wheeler in the back of my truck

 

I have the 6' Steel Ramps from Harbor Freight. My bed is also 33" high on the Ford F-150. I haven't had any problems with them, though it does take some getting used to loading it by driving up the ramps. First few times I did it, I tried to put the truck on an incline so the bed was lower, then after a bit, I was comfortable just driving up it.

 

I have 8' alunimum ramps.......they have little pull ratchet straps on them to hold it to the truck too......

 

I use 6 footers on a Dodge Dakota that is pretty high up. Anything will really work as long as you 1. USE THE SAFETY STRAPS and 2. DON'T STOP UNTIL ALL 4 WHEELS ARE IN THE TRUCK.

 

What is the length of your bed? If you have an 8 foot bed get the 7 foot ramp. If you get the shorter ramp and you have to park somewhere wher the front of the truck is pointed slightly down hill it will increase the angle of the ramp. Ytring to go up and down a ramp that is too short is just plain scarry and stupid. Have you ever fallen off a ramp and end up under the quad. Pretty scarry thought.

 

I had a lifted Tacoma with 33s and 6' ramps. Just make sure you strap them down cause sometimes it was the hardest climb of the day................[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
