Default Need Some Banshee owners HELP!

My buddy ownes a 2000 Shee and blew the engine. He bought a 96 banshee but it has a fried CDI. Is there a way of making the 2000 Shees CDI work on the 96?

Check and make sure the connectors are the same.. OEM Parts finders show different part numbers for the cdi units.. I do know the wiring harness connectors have changed over the years.. Research that a bit.. But pull both of them and compare numbers and connectors..

He says there is a extra ground wire and the plugs are different. Thanks for the help all, I went and ordered a aftermarket one.
