I have carb trouble but not sure how to get them off the cable that is help

Loosen the lock plate mounting scew and slide the lockplate away from the carburetor cap.
Now loosen but do not remove the carburetor cap.
Loosen the front and rear carburetor clamp screws and slide the clamps away from their mounting positions.
Loosen the cap now and pull it out.
The slide and needle will come out with the cap.....
