raptor rod ?

Default raptor rod ?

hey i had a question i was thinking about getting the boondockers nitrous kit and running a 20 hp shot butt will the raptor's rod hold up to that if so for how long?

have you even drove your 450 for more then that??? yours hasent even touched the dirt[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]


lumpys raptor is running good right?

Default raptor rod ?

I thought the boondockers maxxes out at a 20 shot with included hardware, I'd stick to a 15. And if you're running that on a stock motor then it should hold up, just make sure you're not leaning it out.

Any time you add more pressure to the rod the potential is there for failure....for the Raptor AND YFZ. Yamaha needs to get rid of some of the bean counters and hire more engineers!

what is the best rod to buy and do i need to buy a crank allso? i see the hot rod crank and rod set up am i able to just buy a rod and whats the lightest yet strong rod?

Still havent seen one better than barker's, but falicon may have a knife rod or something similar for the rap.

and what is the best cam i should buy i dont want to re do the head but want max hp out of a stage one cam

As far as cam goes that is best purchased in conjuction with your porting design. If you dont have/arent getting a port job then I'd either stick with the stage 1 or up to a stage 2 and new valve springs. You dont really want to get very aggressive with the cam without a higher compression piston to offset it.
