I finnaly bought me a ct sonic pipe k@n pro flow and jet kit. So i put on my pipe and then get the k@n put on my raptor, so now im gonna try to jet it for my first time. I change the needles and put the clip on the 4th notch and all that real easy. So i have to take off the carbs now and this is were every thing starts goin wrong. It seems like ever screw i touch gets stripped, so i decide just to leave it how it is and take it in the get jetted. so when i take it in they tell me well since u didnt by the jet kit from us we cant put it on. so i say okay ill buy another one cause i really dont have a choice. the kit was about 80 dollars or so. and then they tell me the labor will prob be around 180 dollars and i thinks its rediculus. 180 dollars to jet a fourwheeler. Its not like that have to do that much, when i took it in it doesnt even have the plastics or gas tank or anything its stripped down and there charging me that much. i think its rediculus when they dont got to do hardly anything since the carbs are disconnected and every thing. I could of jetted it my self if the screws werent so crappy on here.

But these people are highly trained professionals! You pay good money for them to sit around for a few hours, while they carefully take every piece off and label it, while they draw a diagram so they know how to put it back together. haha
I called my local Yamaha dealer and they wanted $180.00 to jet my quad. This is all new to me, but I knew that 180 dollars was way too much. Luckily I acquired a friend through a friend who has many years of experience and is willing to help out and teach for a small price. I paid 30 bucks for him to jet my quad and show me how it is done.
But on another note next time just call or take it to a smaller shop, or maybe you have a buddy who has a friend who will do work on the side.
And yes I stripped out an allen screw taking my e-brake off. What should have been a 5 minute job at the most(take the worthless e-brake off and screwing the e-brake block off plate on) turned out to be a mess because of carelessness). Good thing it was easy to get out, but next time I will be more careful. It was a lesson well learned.

The screws are garbage everyone I know with this bike including myself have stripped them... you can make a straight cut in it and use a flat head, or small vice grips work good. Take the screws down to a hardware store and get a stronger version
