okay, i was just wondering, i had had a drag on my stock 660 against any and every utility quad, would any of them beat me or come close. if the rider skill level was the exact same and what surface would they have more of a chance of winning on [ i yes, i know that in a 3ft deep river they would win lol.] ............cheerz

 

No, none of them would come close.

 

yeah they would beat you on a drag race in a 2 foot deep mudhole. short of that stock for stock no chance. now a utility replaced with a 600rr honda engine in it sure that may be a different story

 

I think the new Bombardier 800 would give your stock raptor a run for its money. I know what your thinking a utility beating a sport quad never. I have been on the new Bomb and it is a beast I think it might just beat the stock raptor......................let the laughter begin

 

I've never raced a ute, never saw the point, don't think any stock ute would beat a stock Rappy.

i raced a Brute Force 750 from a roll of about 15, wasnt really a race, he was infront of me in a big feild going slow, and he was right aside me, then he gunned it and i raced him, and i was about 1/2 a lenth behind him untill i shifted into 4th then i just went by him, but those ute's have alot of power!!!

I wouldn't be so quick to write of a ute against a Raptor. Stock for stock in a long (300') drag race the Raptor would blow them away. In a short race, say 100', I think it would be a lot closer. Now if you do some basic mods to the ute like pipe, airbox, rejet and add a clutch kit, I think the ute will take the Raptor in a short race. I can only speak for the Grizzly because that is what I ride, but off the start it continues to accelerate and you don't have to shift. In a race to a first turn if I can get my front wheels in front of a Raptor I guarintee I'll beat it to the turn because I'll be cutting it off and when it comes to Raptor bumping wheels with a 600 pound ute, the ute wins.

 

I think a brute or the 800 outlander would give you a good run, I don't think they would beet you thou
