Everyone I know say that they will put their shee's up for the winter because it sucks but it is possible and fun. I had a 300 ex a while back and loved it in the snow and now have a raptor and feel it will be lots more exciting plusy you can spend all day out there and goof around.

mark3, dont let these guys fool you! Have you ever seen a four stroke snowmobile??? NO! Two stroke motors have been used in the freezing cold without problems for the last 20 freakin' years. Why does everybody put their banshee away? I ran mine for the last two winters and had a ball. Again - all you have to do to get traction is switch to mud tires...

I have to agree with addictedtomud... I have a 96 banshee that LOVES the snow! I live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of CA/NV and its one of the snowiest places on earth. I simply throw a set of Swampers on the back and go! There isn't many ATV's that will keep those back wheels spinning that fast! As for trails, I have been riding mine in trails for the last 4 years and loved it. In fact when I got my Raptor I was very disappointed at first but have since recanted that it is a better trail machine overall although my wife can keep up with me in the trails on the raptor = ( Get the banshee and you will never be disappointed!

buy a Raptor or a Warrior first the Banshee is no good in the snow and you will only blow up the motor beating it to get it to move. you literally could go thorugh the gear and maybe go 10 mph in snow. I owned a warrior and put some spyder tracks on it , it would tear through the snow. I doubt different tires would even make a slight difference on the Banshee to high reving and to powerful. of course i guess it would be how much snow are you talking? that might make a difference

If you want to have fun in the snow, and like the fact that everybody has to follow behind you so you can make a trail for them. Get a WOLVERINE! Not only good for making the trail but has the power to make them have a hard time catching up.

Would paddle tires work in the snow?
I don't know, just a thought.
