I have an older model Banshee, I think its an 88, it has the two round plugs on the cdi. My CDI is bad and I want to replace it with a aftermarket one that I already bought. I was told I could just switch the plugs to make it work.
My orginal cdi has the two round plugs with four wires each. The new unit has one plug with five wires and one plug with four wires. I already read here that there is an extra ground wire on the newer ones, but some of the wires don't match up color wise. Has anyone done this this mod with good results? Thanks
