i just bought a ct pipe and i do believe it will give you the most top end i have seen a few pipes and ct is the way to go if u want looks the hmf carbon fiber i think its the bill balance edition looks sweet

I bought the GYTR skip on and really can tell the diff. with that and the GYTR air filter mod. I ride in the Glamis dunes and love the sound too!!!

 

Some guys just never get it. CT won the old 660 Raptor shootout because the air box lid was removed....period. Everyone else was corked up with the lid on. The 700 shootout will be the same BS. This is certainly not a fair and accurate way of comparing exhaust systems. Donal has probably just got off the phone with the arrogant A N with CT Racing and is walking on clouds lol. I can't believe these mags stay in business with such inaccurate dyno shootouts [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img].....and I must question people reading these lop-sided shootouts and actually going out and purchasing this misrepresented product. While I am ranting, the CT pipe and the Team Alba pipes have got to be the hands down most butt ugly pipes in my humble opinion [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img].

I see you have a yoshi on your '01 CR Raptor. That's a great exhaust for a stock bike. But, you are limiting your hp with the mods you have. A CT would really wake your bike, especially in the top end. If I were you, I'd put the Yoshi on ebay and get a CT with 18-22 disks or similar system. A&B Xtreme can set you up at a good price. IMO

I think that's what gives CT their edge. They don't stop where the pipe bolts on, they look at total tuning. If you have ever worked with them, they make sure that you are set up with the right jetting and number of disks for the mods you have.

Of course, if you are comparing apples to apples in a shoot out, CT will look better on the curves than someone else that bolts on and walks away.

But, the effort CT puts in to that HP curve is what I am looking for in my my exhaust manufacturer. It's hard to even get a curve from most of them.

I concur on the ugliness. CT pipes are butt ugly....and they leak...and you have to fit it with a crow bar. But it rips ***.

 

i dont get u people all talking about what something looks like. if the best performing part was hot pink i would buy it because it is the best. and you can not tell me that fmf or yoshi is going to let CT buy test results in the biggest atv mag on the market. they wont let it happen because it would cost them too much money in the long run. i think all of you guys are just sour that your pretty exhaust gets beat by a better performance minded design. and this is not coming from a CT owner. all i do at work is look at various atv parts and comparisions done by actual people with various dynos. i dont rely on dirtwheels for all of my info, tho from what i have found they seem to be pretty accurate.

 

Anyway, in that dirtwheels artical, all the bikes were tested on the same dyno by dirtwheels. They didn't take the manufacturers word for it.

Also, Yoshi won that shoot out because it made less noise not CT. CT made the most power but lost to Yoshi because it hurt the ears of the girly men writing the article.

They said that the purpose of the exhaust is to silence the engine. We all know that's BS. I think most of us would run with no silencer at all if it made more power and didn't hurt the motor.
