Raptor 700 or 06,Yfz 450 Please Help!!!!!!!!
Id prefer the 06 YFZ. From what I have seen so far, the YFZs are beating the new Raptors by about a quad length. That EFI looks like a pain to modify and is not self calibrating.
But, if they were giving them away, I'd take the Raptor cause it's worth a lot more.

I have an 06 Raptor 700 and love it. It is by far the most comfortable quad I have ridden in the trails. However, sometimes you realize you are going faster than you think. Its really predictable and dosent have any funny quirks. Haven't had any problems blowing by my buddies yet on their 400's and my friends trx450r. Plus you just can't beat the amazing thing of firing on the first push of the button, I've had yamahas my whole life and they have always been cold-blooded. This quad is a whole new world in my opinion.

They have the same MSRP, so it doesnt matter if someone is giving it away or you are buying.
700 has more power.
The 450 is lighter by 46lbs, and uncomfortable to sit on, let alone ride for my 5'11" frame. It has higher compression, a carbuerator, and DOHC. Potential buyers are in love with the 450 because it looks great on paper and makes headlines. Its been around for a few years and has a wealth of aftermarket support.
The 700 has EFI, reverse, very comfortable to sit on, instrument cluster with warning lights for temp, fuel level, N, Reverse, lots of torque.
My advice it to ride both if possible. IF not, sit on both of them and see which is more comfortable.
