I agree with 400ex4fun. We were riding on a trail in Pa and some guy was in the middle of the trail walking around, se we asked what was going on and the guy siad that his drive shaft just fell out of his new sportsman.

You didn't touch a nerve, you just exaggerated so bad I had to straighten you out.

A. If your cover is not tight, its your own fault for not sealing it correctly. Mine has NEVER leaked and I've had that cover off approx. 25 times tuning the clutch.

B. My brother owns a 2000 Scrambler and we are friends with a guy who works at the Polaris dealership in town. It seems like at least one of them would know about a recall, but since none of us has had that problem it wouldn't matter anyway.

C. I broke my chain jumping over top of a road and landing on the hillside on the other side. I will admit that a SC500 shouldn't be jumped like that, but it surely wasn't the quad's fault I had it that high. One of the guy's we ride with broke the chain on his Quadracer a few weeks ago, but I didn't equate that with a bad design. I figure that since many, many companies sell chains, they must be expecting a few to break.

You guys and your perceived Polaris problems make me laugh. Somebody's brother's girlfriend's uncle once saw a belt explode, so now after you guys get done passing that story around you think it happens every time someone gets on their Polaris.
The only thing you are right about is the rivets on the steering stem, they supposedly fixed that on the 2001 models.
