Replacement tie rod ends for the Kodiacs under recall. The dealership I went to has had them on backorder for two months now with no eta!!! Needless I am a little disappointed in both the dealership for not being on Yamaha's case for this, and Yamaha, for not getting on the ball and sending these tie rod kits out. I have cancelled two wheeling trips because I don't want my girlfriend riding 30MPH down a trail and have a tie rod end break. She is also a little scared as one of hers has already broke (luckily she was traveling under 5MPH.) I do realize that this is a large recall and there are a lot of units out there with the bad tie rod ends, but this is borderline rediculous!! I am very close to logging a call with Yamaha. Is anyone else having the same issue?

I do believe it is the 05's
Correct me if I am wrong but I also think this recall was for everything but the Raptors and Grizzlies.

Murph,

I got mine already. But, I was lucky because I went to my dealership with my recall notice in hand, and after a bit of prodding, they fessed up and said they only had one set of replacement ends. I asked if I could have them, and they gave them to me. I just put them on myself because I've been reading where some people had their steering not quite right after they got their bikes back.

But you're right. The replacement parts are way too scarce for such an issue if you ask me. Definitely call Yamaha and ask wtf is up and tell them you can't get your parts. Go to your dealer, and others near you too and ask in-person if they have any.
