As long as you're not messing around, doing any damage, bothering anyone, or endangering yourself most cops won't mess with you. I used mine tonight to run to the carry out to pick up some food, and beer. (My 2wd truck :-( is awful in the snow) No one even batted an eye.

In PA., I've never seen anything pertaining to how many inches of snow was on the ground. I have heard that if a State of Emergency is declared in the area by the government, ATV's are permissable forms of transportation. I also heard that you can be out there if you have purpose such as providing a service, or having a valid need to be out there. I've never heard of anyone being stopped, but you must consider if you would be involved in an accident with a car, or truck on the road and are questioned.

Have fun and be careful.

Exactly what I have heard too. If the Govener says its a state of emergency, then its ok. Not that it stops us where I live. We are way up where no one would ever care. We do not do it alot, just when hunting season is in play, instead of using the trail for where I need to go I take the road so I dont disturb anyone in the woods.
