Kodiak Skip
#1
Hello All...Got a problem, I went out to plow the driveway after the 8" snowfall we just had with my kodiak 450. After about an hour, the kodaik developed a engine miss, but only when I was in reverse. Just to let everyone know the differential was not locked in and it didn't skip when going forward. I thought it may have been bad gas, but it seems odd that it would only miss backing up. Any ideas

Yup ran into that myself. Its a safety feature so you don't go that fast in reverse. It also does that when you lock the differential. You can overide that one by hitting the overide button if you must go faster. Don't think that works in reverse but might. Give that a try.

The override button only works on diff lock, for reverse youll need to wire up a bypass switch.
Depending on the year of your kodiak, the info for the grizz works, same wire color and location. Check out this site for instructions.
