In response to some options and firsthand info I can say that a local performance shop in Oregon City has had my Raptor three weeks building a prototype header and silencer and finished it last week and had it dynoed at LRD on Thursday. The results where an even 5-6 HP gain over the whole range. We took it to a nearby ride area in the sand on Friday to test performance. The extra power throughout the range was amazing with no flat spots anywhere. It accelerated and pulled away from my friends stock Raptor quickly and revved very fast. In a drag race with even weight riders it consistently beat the stock bike and Banshees with pipes at least 5-6 bike lengths. I raced a DS650,250R and beat them all with the DS being the closest. It provided power that would pull second gear thru bermed trails weaving thru the trees and accelerated hard enough to make it difficult to keep the front end down especially in drag races and hillclimbs in the sand.

Even though the 5-6 HP doesn't sound like much compared to Graydons claimed 12 HP I rode this all day long and cannot imagine going back to riding without the extra boost this provides.

The noise of this combination sounds like a 400EX with a Big Gun or DMC exhaust and will be available with optional spark arrestor style silencer. They will provide system chromed, jet coated or in stainless steel with availability in 3-4 weeks from now.

You can contact the manufacturer who is Dustin at Dustins Advanced 2 Stroke at 503-722-7233. Tell him you are calling about the Extreme Raptor Exhaust.

I'm not sure what else I could tell you other than this is a beatiful piece of work and I believe you will be thoroughly happy with it. Price will be in $400.00 to $550.00 depending on material used and includes required jets.

By the way I have removed stock headlights and added lazerstar kit for Banshee and welded alum extension to bottom and added idiot lights there. THis is very clean and the lights are awesome and looks great without stock lights. Also welded custom stiffener rings onto all aluminum wheels and am running Sand Skate I tires on the rear with Mohawks on the front. I think this is an awesome duner! I have also put 12 tooth sprocket on front and am waiting for next oil change to add Sparks timing key.

Still waiting for K&N filter if anyone knows where to get one yet and am thinking about adding a steering stabilizer if anyone knows what will work on the Raptor.

The Duncan Racing Banshee 7-click adjustable steering damper works perfectly on the Raptor! Denton stabilizer problably does too. Got one on mine.

Does anyone know if all the claimed gains in HP are on the California model or on the 49 state models or do you get the same gain out of both? I find it hard to believe that a 32hp gain from ct racing that has to be on the cali model, because if not what is everyone saying the raptor has stock hp wise I think is 38hp if you would get 32more hp out of the ct racing pipe airbox and jet kit that would = 70hp and there add says that next month they should break 60hp! So I dont know what original hp specs there going off of, it must be pretty low to not break 60hp already. I just recieved a e-mail back from graydonproline and they said there pipe adds 14hp, I e-mailed him back and asked if that was on the cali model or what because if not you coule be up to 52hp with just there pipe and jetting because there testing was done with the stock air box on. So if anyone has any input post it here I just want to get the best exhaust that produces the max hp for the money I think all the gaines in HP are on the california model not sure though but according to ct's dyno and hp gain as I stated above it would almost have to be!

I am not sure but I would think the outcome on both would be the same because the with this kit you are losing the restrictions in pipe ,etc. that they put on the CA models. An example 33hp CAL. model up to 49 and all others 37-38 up to 49.

The Ct kit is not a 32hp peak gain, that is how much it gains at like 8,500 rpms. It is aroound a 17hp peak gain, that is still awesome!
