Default Raptor 700 width specs wrong

On my spec sheet it says my Raptor width is 46.1 inches. I've measured everything on this 700 and the widest I've measured is 45.1 inches and that is at the rear wheels. I know a inch might not seem much, but in handling it is a lot. Why do they give bogas numbers?

The could have made that 46.1 with flat rear tires and a 200# guy sitting on the quad

Thats odd that yours is different, Outside to outside of the rear tires mine is 46" exactly

The measurment in the front will change with the weight of a rider

....they are not wrong, you just have to know how to measure. The a-arms have to be flat, and have the wheels out at there widest point, giving you 46.1. My yfz has the same arms as your 700, and my 700 for that matter, and it measures out at 46inchs

I've had many atv's and have never had to flatten out the a-arms to get spec width. My Predator said 47.5" wide, guess what, it was 47.5" wide at the rear wheels. The width of atv's on a spec sheet is suppose to be the widest part of the atv as it sits. Most sport quads it's the rear wheels, and on utility it could be rear wheels or the plastic. It's not with the a-arms flat.
