Raptor 700 speed limiter

Default Raptor 700 speed limiter

Does anyone know how to get rid of the speed limiter? Mace

Default Raptor 700 speed limiter

I would imagine it's electronic on the new 700 which would mean the computer needs to be reprogramed.

Dont cha just make sure the screw is all the way out on the right handle bar.....thats what the owners maanual says

To actually answer your question with some understanding of the situation, no I dont believe anyone's found a way around it yet.

Well what is the main reason they put the speed limiter on the 700?

if i'm correct ,there is only a throttle restricter ,i don't think there are any limiter/restricters on the engine side of things i kept the restricter in mine to break the engine in at low to mid revs now it's taken out the thing screams it's rapid

The screw in the throttle housing is present on just about every atv, and is not the item being discussed here. Apparently there is a functioning hardware speed restrictor in the bike that functions in 4th and 5th gears.

Yeah Maddog is right all atvs has throttle restrictors. But there is something else that is holding the motor back in only 5th and maybe 4th gear. Mace

o.k this is first i've heard of a hardware restrictor i'll go test mine out in 4th and 5th tomorrow properly and have a look

ok tell us about your results and HP and Torge numbers too. But everyone is saying that your RPMS will stop at 6500 in 5th instead of the 9000 through the other gears.
