Yamaha will of coarse recommend Yamalube. I hate that stuff.

Run some Castrol ATV oil in it.

The stuff under the front left fender would be the coolant bottle, when it gets low, replace it with Coolant(make sure to mix with some water as well), make sure that Coolant or just drain the entire system and put some Engine Ice or Evans Coolant in it, these will make the motor run a lot cooler leading to better performance.

As far as oil filters go, replace those about everytime you change the oil, may not need to replace it this often, it's just nice to know you wont have any troubles with it, not like they cost a lot of money in the first place.

Air filter, clean that about every other ride. After it starts getting old/raggy, replace it with an aftermarket one or another OEM filter.
