down to 2

all right, i've narrowed it down to 2 quads. After months of finding info on a lot of quads, i've narrowed it down to 2. The YFZ 450 and the 'shee. I can't make a decision. they both seem like great bikes, but i'm not sure. I'd take the shee cuz i'm gonna be doing some dune riding in the future, like 3 years from now, but then again, would the YFZ 450 be a good enough dune machine? And could the YFZ be compared to the power to my KX 250? I gotta have the power and it has to be able to make me hang on and wheelie and climb hills and all that other good stuff, so any advice or opinions would really help. I just dont have any experience with these two machines. I've ridden a quadracer 250, i believe it was either a '85 or an '86, but it was bone stock, and i thought that had some *****. So would either of these two bikes be more powerful? would they be able to outrun the quadracer?

The YFZ isn't the purebred dune machine like the banshee is, but it is a better all-around quad. The suspension and cornering is the biggest advantage, but the YFZ also has better power delivery for racing and trail riding(more low end torque and a more predictable powerband). Both of those would be able to take a quadracer without trying too hard. In a drag race i'm not sure if the yfz or shee would win, but in any other type of race the YFZ is a better performing machine.

ok. i guess the other problem is the electric starter on the YFZ 450. Can i take that off and put a kick starter on there? cuz i live in montana and it has been known to get a lil cold. With a kick starter i won't have to worry about a battery going dead or something like that, i'll just be able to kick it until it starts up.

it dont get cold up there, lol, buy the yfz,its a way better all around quad and with just bolt on modds runs very well.its a great duner as well.
the banshee is a good duner, but really comes to life with modds, pretty much gets spanked in every other aspect though.my buddy in billings has both,a bolt on yfz for duning and play racing and a 20G 535cc banshee for real racing.
